The main purpose of an Area Board is to provide local support to the Manager, support local fund raising, and to ensure that local targets are being met. The Nairobi Manager reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Mombasa Manager reports to the Manager in Nairobi.
It is recommended that the Area Board has 7 to 11 members drawn from the local business community. Ideally they will be representative of local business priorities, bring a range of skills to the role, reflect the local community diversity, and have a gender representation.
The Area Board will meet monthly, and reports sent to KYBT Trustees.
